PATAGONIA

If you ever saw pictures of magical Patagonia, you know that this place is like nothing else in the world. If you have a chance to come visit and see those off-worlder landscapes full of mountains, lakes, fjords, deserts and glaciers, please do!

Patagonia is located in the most southern part of South America in the territory of Chile and Argentina. It’s quite a big piece of land, around a million square kilometres, so we advise you to plan your trip in advance or let us give you a hand with it

The jewel of Chilean Patagonia is the Torres del Paine National Park. It is definitely one of the most beautiful and unique places on Earth that encompasses lots of magnificent natural wonders with the Cordillera del Paine as its centerpiece. Learn more here

As Patagonia is located so far south, you can expect arid, cold air and everlasting winds. However harsh the climate is, you’ll be surprised to see that quite a lot of people live there along with guanacos, cougars, foxes, skunks, and a vast number of birds.

Speaking of local people, here you can meet German descendants and other European settlers and of course Patagonian indigenous people called Kawesqar. After several genocides by the men that were extinguishing the original peoples of the area, there are still some descendants who maintain the traditions.

There are also the gauchos (Patagonian cowboys) who come from the both sides of Patagonia. They have been living a rural life for over a hundred years, dedicated to agricultural and livestock work, accustomed to indomitable climates, extensive solitude and constant peace. The kind, friendly people of a local community invite you to get to know their customs and lifestyles and learn why “if you want to survive in Patagonia, you have to be a gaucho”.

The south of the world, as the locals call Patagonia, is clearly a place with a unique identity, different not only from the rest of the world but from any other part of Chile. You are very welcome to visit and see it for yourself anytime you want.
